BCGA Honors Ledgeview Golfers
The British Columbia Golf Association included recognition for Ledgeview golfers at their First Annual Recognition Awards held on Saturday March 29th. The awards honor the top female and male athletes from the BCGA Order of Merit and the Distinguished Service Award recipients who have made a contribution to the sport of golf through their local, provincial, national and international achievements. President Anne Peabody presented this year recipients with their awards at the ceremony held in the Marine Drive Golf Club Clubhouse in Vancouver. Nick Taylor of Ledgeview topped the Men's Order of Merit table winning the Canadian Men's Amateur Championship, finishing third in qualifying and winning the Match Play final at the 39th hole. He finished 7th at the BC Amateur, qualified 47th in the US Amateur Stroke Play and advanced all the way to the US Amateur Match Play Quarterfinals where he lost to the eventual winner.

The Ledgeview team of Nick and Josh Taylor was recognized in the BCGA Annual Report for winning the BC Club Team Championship. This event was incorporated into the BC Amateur which was held at Morningstar on Vancouver Island.

Another Ledgeview member, Jarred Rempel was included for his play with the FV Zone 3 team who won the BC Zone Team award.

Brian Bates was mentioned for his 4th place finish at the BC Senior Men's Championship, for helping the Zone 3 team win the Provincial Zone Team Gross Championship and for representing BC at the Canadian Senior Men's Championship in Ontario.

Head Professional Jason Smith led the Ledgeview team of Tom Hall, Larry Tokarchuk and Fred Thiessen to the BC Pro Executive Championship at The Bear Golf Club in Kelowna
