The expected playing time for a round of golf is 4 hours and 15 minutes.
With a clear course, a 4-ball group should take less than 4 hours, while the maximum playing time for a round of golf is 4 hours and 30 minutes.
For the enjoyment of all players, all Members are asked to monitor their pace of play, when possible, Section 1 "Etiquette, Behavior on the Course" of the Rules of Golf, when confronted with slow play by others:
"Players should play at a good pace. It is a group's responsibility to keep up with the group in front. If it loses a clear hole and it is delaying the group behind, it should invite the group behind to play through, irrespective of the number of players in that group. Where a group has not lost a clear hole, but it is apparent that the group behind can play faster, it should invite the faster-moving group to play through."
