Ledgeview Golf Club has always respected and safeguarded members and non members privacy as well as their personal information.
British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) came into effect Jan 1, 2004, and sets out the ground rules for how BC businesses and not-for-profit organizations may collect, use, or disclose personal information.
For this reason, Ledgeview Golf Club has adopted this Privacy Policy to ensure that any Individual’s Personal Information in its control, is protected by appropriate means. Additionally, the Club has established policies and procedures to comply with this Privacy Policy and has informed and trained its staff with respect to PIPA.
"Personal Information" means any information about an identifiable individual.
“Member” means a member of Ledgeview Golf Club ‘The Club’.
“Other Individual” means an individual who is not a member (nonmember) of Ledgeview Golf Club.
We are committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of your personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”). As part of this commitment, our privacy policy governs our actions as they relate to the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information.
We are responsible for maintaining and protecting the Personal Information under our control. We have designated an individual or individuals who is/are responsible for compliance with our privacy policy.

Member Personal Information in the possession of the Club will be disclosed to individuals who identify themselves as being the respective Member and who are verified to be said Member.
The Club will not use Member Personal Information for any purpose, except for those identified above. Members’ consent to do so may be given either orally or in written form. In some circumstances a member’s consent will be implied through the nature of their interaction with the Club.
Protecting children’s privacy is very important to Ledgeview. It is our policy to comply with applicable laws. We recommend that children ask a parent for permission before sending personal information to us or to anyone else online.
We collect and use personal information to provide you with the product or service you have requested. The purposes for which we collect Personal Information will be identified before or at the time we collect the information. In certain circumstances, the purposes for which information is collected may be clear, and consent may be implied, such as where your name, address and payment information is provided as part of the order process.

The Club endeavors to keep all individual’s Personal Information that it has in its possession or control as accurate, complete and up to date as necessary for the purposes for which it is used. The Club will update Personal Information only if it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and if the information is used on an ongoing basis. The Club also relies on its Members and Other Individuals to keep certain Personal Information accurate, complete, and current, such as a change in address.
Despite the Club’s efforts, errors sometimes do occur. Should an individual identify that the Club holds incorrect or out-of-date Personal Information about them, the Club will make the proper changes. Where appropriate, the Club will communicate these changes to other parties who may have unintentionally received incorrect Personal Information from the Club.
Personal Information will be protected by security safeguards that are appropriate to the sensitivity level of the information. We take all reasonable precautions to protect your Personal Information from any loss or unauthorized use, access or disclosure.
We will make information available to you about our policies and practices with respect to the management of your Personal Information.
Upon request, you will be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of your Personal Information, and will be given access to it.
